Introduction to General Procurement and Supply Chain Management
This course is an introductory level course where the aim is to describe the goals of supply chain management, its framework, principles of procurement and roles and responsibilities of staff at healthcare centres and dispensaries to ensure uninterrupted supply of life saving medicines and other health products.
Ordering and reporting
This course will explore all the key principles of ordering and reporting of health commodities and take a deeper look into the documentation required by frontline healthcare workers to ensure adequate stock of essential commodities at all times.
Inventory Management
This course covers the basics of inventory control and management required for frontline healthcare workers within the overall supply chain systems. The key elements of the course include inventory records, systems to organize health commodities, planning and maintaining inventory levels and resolution of inventory related issues.
Tools and systems reporting
This course will take you through the manual and electronic medicine stock management support tools that will guide the frontline healthcare workers in documentation, essential at the healthcare centres and dispensaries.
Recording of Consumption
This course will include the record keeping documents at the dispensary and health centres which is essential to keep costs under control, ensure good patient care and to prevent mistakes or fraud taking place.
Mass Drug Administration
